Jurevicius has said that he plans to play one more year before retiring.
The bad news about Joe is that he has been hit by injuries late in his ten year career.
Jurevicius has spent those ten seasons with the Giants, Bucs, Seahawks, and Browns.
In his best season, 2005, with the Seahawks he recorded ten receiving touchdowns and 694 receiving yards and also had five catches for 93 yards in Super Bowl XL.
Then he left for the Browns in 2006 through free agency and he turned out to be great on 3rd and long situations.
The next season he finished with the third most 3rd-down receptions (29) in the league.
This past season Joe Jurevicius missed every game after developing a staph infection following arthroscopic knee surgery.
Jurevicius has over 4,000 yards receiving and almost 30 receiving touchdowns in his NFL career.
If the Bears can get Jurevicius cheap, I think it would be a great signing considering what the depth they have right now.
Besides Devin Hester and Rashied Davis no other receiver on the Bears has a reception in his NFL career.
Hopefully Joe Jurevicius's last season will be spent with the 2008-2009 Chicago Bears.
