Forte nominated for NFL Rookie of Week

Running back Matt Forte ran for over 100 second half yards on Sunday, and helped carry the Bears to a win over the Detroit Lions.

That effort has earned him a nomination for NFL Rookie of the Week.

Forte is up against Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco, Cardinals running back Tim Hightower, Titans running back Chris Johnson, and Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan.

Fans can vote for Forte on NFL.com/rookies from now until Friday at 11:00 a.m. central.

The NFL Rookie of the Week will be announced Friday afternoon on NFL.com/rookies.

it would be difficult for forte to beat out ryan unless a season ending injury puts ryan out.
it is worth it for everyone to vote for him on nfl.com/rookies though to show the rest of the country that chicago bears fans are alive and kicking.
hopefully forte can step up a notch or two and become the guy in the next 8 games and prove me wrong

We really need him to pound the ball against the Titans this sunday. He already is a star, but to help the Bears upset the Titans would be huge. He will help Grossman not only on the ground, but also through the air, unlike last year where the Bears had no offensive line or running game. Maybe Grossman will be better. It's good he will get snaps as the #1 QB this week.
