Kyle Orton Wants to Play Sunday

Relieved that his right ankle is just sprained and not broken, Kyle Orton hopes to play this Sunday against the Titans.

Orton on when he will be back and if he'll play this Sunday:

Quotes from the Chicago Tribune

"I'm certainly not ruling out anything, I don't know exactly what the timetable's going to be, but I just feel if I keep on making improvement, I certainly can't rule out this week."

"It's been a good couple days," said Orton, wearing a protective sleeve on his foot.

"I feel like I got lucky."

"I'm hoping I don't miss any time."

Will He Seriously Play this Sunday?:

There is no way the Bears will let there best player risk his season, unless it improves drastically by tomorrow or Friday.

Look for Rex to be the guy.

Orton didn't even practice today.

If I was him, I wouldn't risk your season, let Rex do it.

Orton was supposedly to be out for almost a month, I just think Orton has a big urge to play in such a big game.

And I don't blame him, but don't put your season on the line.

Rex Grossman, who replaced Orton on Sunday, said Wednesday he is preparing to be the starter.

Quotes from the Chicago Tribune

"I'm excited," he said. "I'm not sure what exactly going to happen but I'm preparing like I'm playing. ... It's good. Anytime you get a chance to get reps ... it only helps."
