S Terrence Holt Signed to Active Roster

Terrence Holt was signed by the Chicago Bears today, who officialy put rookie CB Zack Bowman on injured reserve.

Don't worry Bowman will be back next year and he will contribute to this defense.

Terrence Holt is a free safety who was waived by the Panthers at the end of the pre-season.

Holt has started 43 of 69 games since coming into the league as a fifth-round draft pick of Detroit in 2003.

Holt spent four seasons with the Lions before signing as an unrestricted free-agent with Arizona in 2007.

He started all 16 games last season and led Cardinals defensive backs with 75 tackles before they released him last winter.

Holt has eight career interceptions.

He will try to help shore up depth in an injury-depleted secondary and potentially on special teams.

Holt is the brother of Rams WR Torry Holt.

Terrence Holt is 28 years old and still has some football in him.

He looks to be a good addition if Daniel Manning is out for a long period of time.

He will likely take the spot left by injured Brandon McGowan.
